Former House Speaker Yakubu Dogara set the tone, urging attendees to remain active in nation-building despite leaving office. “Stepping away from power doesn’t mean abandoning duty. As custodians of Nigeria’s legislative legacy, we must prioritize national progress over partisan interests,” he asserted.
Enugu Governor Peter Mbah hailed the choice of the state for the summit as symbolic, aligning with its resurgence as a hub for dialogue and development. “Hosting this gathering reflects Enugu’s renewed role in fostering national unity and democratic ideals,” he stated.
