President Bola Tinubu praised Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his “visionary and competent leadership” during a historic visit to Awka on Thursday, where he inaugurated multiple landmark projects. Tinubu, making his first official trip to the state since assuming office, highlighted Soludo’s infrastructural strides as a model for national development.
“I am honored to be here to witness the transformative work of my friend, Governor Soludo, whose dedication to progress is evident in these projects,” Tinubu said during the ceremony. The commissioned initiatives include the Emeka Anyaoku Center for International Studies and Diplomacy at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, the state’s first Government House in over 30 years, the 8-lane Aroma–Government House Boulevard, and the recreational Solution Fun City.

Tinubu’s arrival at the Chinua Achebe International Airport marked a symbolic moment, with Soludo personally receiving him before the pair toured the newly completed sites. The Government House, a long-awaited administrative hub, underscores Soludo’s push to modernize Anambra’s governance infrastructure. Other projects inaugurated during the visit remain aligned with the governor’s broader agenda to elevate the state’s economic and educational profile.
The President’s endorsement of Soludo’s policies comes amid heightened political focus on subnational development, with Tinubu emphasizing collaboration between federal and state governments to accelerate national growth.
