The Coalition of Southeast Youth Leaders (COSEYL) has announced plans for a historic rally in Abia State to showcase widespread support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its impact across the Southeast region.
In an official statement signed by President General Comrade Goodluck Ibem and Secretary General Comrade Okey Nwaoru, the group revealed it will mobilize an unprecedented five million youths for the event. The rally aims to both celebrate developmental progress in the region and build early momentum for the 2027 presidential campaign.
The event will serve as a platform to highlight infrastructure, healthcare and education improvements attributed to Tinubu’s policies in the Southeast. Special recognition will be given to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for his role as a bridge between the region and the federal government
“This mobilization reflects the genuine appreciation of Southeast youth for transformative leadership,” Ibem stated. “We’re witnessing tangible progress that deserves public acknowledgment and continued support.”
COSEYL’s massive show of force could significantly influence the political calculus ahead of the next general elections. Security arrangements and logistical plans for the mega rally are being finalized, with organizers promising an event that will “redefine youth participation in Nigeria’s democratic process.” The date and specific venue will be announced in coming weeks.
