Hon. Chinedu Ogah, the member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, has rolled out a fresh wave of empowerment initiatives, highlighting his commitment to education, agriculture, and social welfare.
Speaking during the flag-off of his latest empowerment programme at Blessed Martins College of Nursing Science, Ohatekwe Amagu in Ikwo LGA, Ogah called on Nigerians to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu’s administration, describing the President’s performance over the past two years as impactful and promising.
As part of his outreach, Ogah awarded full scholarships to over 200 orphans drawn from indigent families across the 31 wards of Ikwo and Ezza South. The scholarships cover tuition, boarding, feeding, and other academic needs.
Through his Chinedu Ogah Foundation, the lawmaker also paid WAEC, NECO, and JAMB registration fees for more than 2,000 students, including inmates in correctional centres across Ebonyi State. He emphasized that incarceration should never be a barrier to self-improvement, describing it as a chance for reformation.
In addition, Ogah distributed fertilizers and other farming inputs to local farmers to support early planting and ensure a successful harvest season.
The event drew dignitaries including the wife of the state governor, Mrs. Mary-Maudlin Nwifuru, who praised Ogah’s selfless service and described him as a model of integrity and compassion. She announced that her foundation, BERWO (Better Health for Rural Women, Children, and the Internally Displaced), would continue partnering with the Chinedu Ogah Foundation, especially in promoting girls’ education.
Also speaking, the APC State Chairman, Stanley Okoro Emegha, applauded Ogah’s consistent grassroots impact and noted that the party will continue to monitor and reward performance among its members.
